Frequently Asked Questions |

|
The Healing Rooms are set up much like a Doctors office. The guest
is greeted by a receptionist and is asked to complete an information
sheet, consisting of name address, basic information, and their reason for
coming. They are then taken to a waiting room and allowed to soak in
God’s presence as worship music is being played. This can take from a
few minutes up to a half of an hour, depending on the number of guests
present for that session. A team member will then escort them to a private
prayer room where a team of three persons will allow them to express their
needs. The team will then pray for those needs as God leads. There is no
limit as to the number of times a person can come to the Rooms. There is
no cost as we feel Jesus paid for healing with his death and resurrection
on the Cross giving us no right to charge for something He has provided.
2.
What kinds of people typically seek out healing rooms (i.e. people with
terminal illnesses, mental illnesses, permanent / lifelong illnesses)?
All types of people come, with all types of needs. We believe the
Holy Spirit draws them, after He has prepared their hearts and given them
faith to believe for their healing.
3.
Do most believe that it will completely cure them of their ailment?
Yes most people would not come if they did not at least have hope
that they could be healed.
4.
How did you get involved in this organization?
By Gods Design, I came from a Christian background that taught that
God could heal, but only when he chose to and that was very rarely. After
3 ˝ years of serving in the Healing Rooms seeing God heal, I have made a
complete reversal. I now know that God not only heals but wants to heal
all that will seek out that healing. Put another way I now EXPECT TO SEE
GOD HEAL all that come seeking Him.
5.
What kinds of ailments do people who come to the healing rooms usually
have?
We see every kind of ailments, from emotional to life threatening.
Also we have to deal with spirits [demons] and drugs. Since Jesus does the
healing no one problem is any harder than any other. Since Jesus made me,
healing me, is not going to be a problem for him.
6.
Have you encountered many nonbelievers? After they leave the healing room,
are they typically still nonbelievers?
We do have some nonbelievers. Since we believe the greatest healing
is acceptance of Jesus as savior, we give every guest the opportunity to
know Him. Will God heal a nonbeliever? Yes and Does.
7.
Are most people who use healing rooms Christian?
Yes, or at least have, knowledge of a higher being. Jesus said your
faith has made you whole [Healed you]. God is the source of our faith.
Since the Holy Spirit draws the guest to the Healing Rooms most are
believers.
8.
What would you say to people who say the only way to cure a disease is
through medicine, science or technology?
If your faith lies in medical science then use it. God has given
man knowledge of medicine as well as the skills of doctors for our
healing. Jesus does the healing. Medicine is Gods gift. If it works, use
it. Jesus did not say how he was going to heal you; He just says he wants
you healed.
9.
What is your opinion on the role medicine (pharmaceuticals) and science
play in treating people’s illnesses?
God heals the source of our sickness. Man or medicine treats the
symptoms. Without modern medicine we would have
no way to know what to seek healing for. Medicine and Gods healing work
together for our healing. We are wise to use both together.
10.
If you discovered you had a serious disease, such as cancer, how would go
about seeking treatment? If the first thing you tried didn’t work, what
kind of treatment would you seek out next?
A serious disease would have to be diagnosed by a doctor. As a
treatment prayer would be my first choice supported with medical
treatment. The Healing Rooms never recommends a person stop medical
treatment to allow prayer to heal them. Rather medical treatment should be
continued as a verification of their healing.
11.
What do you think about holistic medicine?
Since God made every thing in its original source, then said it was
good, their will be herbs and other natural cures that can be beneficial
to our health. Those that have been proven to be effective can be used for
our benefit. However we must remember that every thing we read and hear is
not necessarily true. There are many people who will do and say anything
to make money. Holistic medicine, doctors, and healers all contain
dishonest people. Speaking for the Healing Rooms of
12.
Do you have any stories or memories of clients that stick out in your
head?
We do not charge for our services. We believe Jesus paid for our
healing with His death on the cross. Healings are a gift from God and we
have no right to charge. God sends our guests to us and since we are not a
business they are guests not clients. We ask our guests who want to, to
fill out a testimony sheet, telling what God has done for them. Some do
some do not. We are not aware of many of the healings that take place as
most healings are not instant. We hear about healings from guests who have
come because of the recommendation of a previous person healed that we
were not even aware of. All
healings are important to the person receiving them.
On one occasion a guest came with a badly damaged knee. They were
in much pain and only able to walk supported by a cane. After prayer they
threw away the cane, ran around the prayer room and left the Healing Rooms
totally healed. This person has brought many guests to the rooms.
On another occasion a guest came with an arm that had been
paralyzed from birth. As we prayed we watched as God grew the arm about
two inches in length, straightened the frozen elbow and begin to move the
fingers. These were instant, most are not. Their have been many healings
Only God knows how many.
13.
Can anyone be healed by healing rooms, or must they believe in God and the
healing room process?
No one can be healed by the Healing Rooms, or anyone that serves
here!!! The Healing Rooms are
a place where a person’s faith can be released to allow Jesus to heal
them. Are we involved in the process of healing? Yes. We serve as the
conductor that allows our guests to make contact with God. Could they be
healed at another location? Yes. The Healing Rooms work because the Holy
Spirits presence is free to work with each guest as He chooses. He is free
to work through us as we follow His leading. Every guest is given total
freedom to reach out and take the healing GOD has for them. Any one that
comes seeking healing can receive it here. Only through the name of Jesus
is power released for healing. In Mark 16: 17-18 Jesus said to his
followers: in MY NAME you will cast out demons and you will lay hands on
the sick and they will recover. AS a Christian Jesus said [this is what I
expect of you]. Satan convinced the Church that this commission was true
for the original apostles and stopped at their deaths. Most Churches
taught their members this doctrine, thus Churches ceased healing the sick.
God did not stop healing, Christians stopped believing and healing stopped
in the Churches. WE in the Healing Rooms have found this to be a false
doctrine as we see healings each time we meet. There is no Healing Room
process!! One of the special privileges of
serving in the Healing Rooms is to see Jesus heal in a new way every time
we think we have it all figured out.
14.
What happens to people who truly do believe but are not healed in the
healing rooms? Do they typically become jaded or cynical about God?
All people that come receive some healing. For some it might be a
great calm to face their trials. I do not recall any one that felt God let
them down. There is nothing more powerful than Gods peace on a person’s
mind. We have some that did not appear to receive the healing they came
for, but did receive so much love from God that the problem did not matter
any more.
15.
When most people show up to a healing room, have they typically tried to
heal their sickness in a more “traditional” way (i,e.
exercise, medication, surgery) before coming to you?
Most come the first time when all else seems to have failed. For
some the Healing Rooms become their primary source of help. Some have come
received healing and are now serving with us. Our doors are open to anyone
that wants to come. How many times they come is between them and God. Only
He and they will know when they are totally healed.
